fibromyalgia /f.m.s
I suffer from a an illness called fibromylagia.
This is thought to be brought on by a serious or traumatic blow like a car crash but in my case a van door slamming on my head.
Basically the illness sends rouge signals to the brain via pain receptors to say you are in pain even though you are not.There is no cure and not enough research has been done so a lot of reasons put forward to the cause are really just educated guesses.
The symptons change from day to day and you never know what the next day will hold for you whether it be really bad when you struggle to do simple tasks like putting on a pair of socks or whether you will just be a bit stiff.
pain can also be measure by exertion by this i mean every action you do has a consequence and that is pain.If i was to say do a bit of diy and use a srewdriver for a long period i may find the next day i cannot even hold a cup of coffee.
I have been off work now for two years but finally i know my bounderies so i am now looking forward to working again at long last.
There is reported to be thousands of people not diagnosed so if you know someone who is a bit of a hyperchondriac and allways complaining of aches and pains well maybe just maybe they could have fibromyalgia ! |
